All students must wear the rehearsal garments of their choosing which fall under the following guidelines.
This is to insure proper modesty. Rehearsal wear is at the dancer’s expense.

|
Short-sleeved, 3/4 sleeved or long-sleeved.
NO TANKS OR CAMISOLES.
Bateau/Boat Neck or Moderate Scoop neckline.

|
Black Pants
|
Pants that are comfortable and permit adequate movement and body line to be seen. Knee to floor length.
|
|
Black Skirt with Tights
|
Skirt should be opaque, near knee length, worn with pink opaque tights (not nylons). Must have leotard or cheer pant underneath. Skirt should not be shorter than bottom of fingertips when hands held down at sides.

|
Ballet Slipper or Jazz Shoe *
|
Pink or black. Ballet shoes should have elastic across top of the foot. Strings tucked-in or cut-off. Pink ballet shoes are typical for performance.
|
|
Hair
|
Shoulder-length or longer hair should be secured off neck and pulled off of face.
|
|
Optional: Students may wear a fitted sweater or shrug in class if chilled. A fitted tank top over leotard is also permitted. Loose-fitting garments are not allowed in the classroom as this prohibits our ability to see student’s body alignment and, therefore, limits our ability to correct proper form.

|

* Please purchase dance shoes at Standing Ovation, Fort Wayne, for proper fit and good quality shoe. Shoes at other mass retailers tend to have very hard soles, and students find them uncomfortable for long-term training. Standing Ovation provides a quality shoe at an affordable price. Available for purchase at our fall Open House.
Typical performance shoes is either a pink or black shoe. We cannot guarantee that the shoe purchased for rehearsal will be the only shoe required for performance. Shoes are at the expense of the student.
